Michael Amsbry - Founder


Based on beaucoup years of experience he paints the "big picture" as well as oversees and approves the implementation detail of all media programs.  Prior to founding Flying A in 1978, Mike served as VP Marketing at The Wine Group (3rd largest U.S. winery), VP Marketing at FCB Advertising (including Pac Bell, Oroweat Foods and Heublein Wines), Marketing Manager of AMF/Voit (sporting goods) and Brand Manager with General Mills (Cheerios and Total breakfast cereals).  Mike has an MBA in Marketing from UCLA.



Patrick Amsbry - President


Pat has 20 years experience in and around the media world - with perspective from "both sides of the desk".   As a General Sales Manager for CBS Radio in Los Angeles - Pat managed 3 of the top 20 billing radio stations in the US.  Over the years, Pat has developed and implemented numerous event marketing, digital and multi-platform marketing campaigns for local, regional and national advertisers.   Prior to CBS, Pat served as Director of National Sales for Emmis/Los Angeles, Director of Sales for Clear Channel/San Francisco; Director of National Sales for CBS/Sacramento and Director of Sales for Interep.



Sharon Reid - Media Director


Sharon has many years in planning, buying and media management for companies such as Paramount Pictures, Ford Dealers, Mervyns, Target and 7-Up Bottling.  She also served as Media Director for The Gap.  Past agency affiliations include J. Walter Thompson, Gardner Communications and Gotham Media.



Sharon Saunders - Media Planner/TV Buyer


Sharon's media background spans 30 years working with blue chip clients including KGO-TV (ABC), Safeway, McDonalds, Charles Schwab, Jelly Belly Jelly Beans, Straw Hat Pizza, Seagate Technologies and Longs Drugs (to name a few).

 

 

Margie Shaw - Digital Planner/Buyer

Margie was a pioneer in the early days of internet advertising as part of the advertising team at Hotwired, the first website to sell banner ads. She is an internet marketing strategist specializing in building online marketing programs that generate new customers, business leads, and increased website traffic by utilizing online banner advertising, affiliate programs, search engine marketing, targeted email, and strategic partnerships.  Additionally, her expertise in internet analytics programs enables her to provide insight into traffic patterns and customer behavior and deliver campaigns with quantifiable results.  She is a 15-year veteran of the industry and has worked with companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500.

 

 

Carol Soker - Planner/Buyer


Carol has over 30 years media experience including management positions at Mediasmith, Inc. and Ted Thompson and Partners.  She was trained as both planner and buyer which means carefully planned media strategies are implemented by an expert negotiator with nothing lost in translation.  Her experience includes work with Citi Bank, Blue Shield of California, Levi's, Holiday Inn and Nally's Fine Foods.



Kerry Brown - Project Manager


Kerry has extensive experience in on-line, radio and project management. Kerry’s broadcast experience includes work in radio sales and promotions at Entercom and Bonneville.  In addition, she has helped plan and implement user interface design for a variety of web based companies.



Mark Riley - Out-of-Home Specialist


With over 40 years experience in the out-of-home industry, Mark has done it all.  His last big corporate stint was National Sales Manager for Clear Channel Outdoor/Los Angeles, the largest outdoor market in the US.  Previously, he was National Account Executive at Patrick Outdoor, Foster & Kleiser and Western International Media.



Terri Adams - Media Governance


Terri's experience includes Traffic Director, Continuity Director and Sales Assistant positions at several San Francisco radio stations along with print and radio planning and buying.  She is key in implementing plans with all the attending instructions necessary for a successful campaign.  Terri's forte is her unbelievable attention to detail.
